One Year On

One Year On

This blog post contains trigger warnings so please consider this before reading on. It's been one year since a suicide attempt found my eldest spawn admitted to hospital. I can't say things are better - just different. There haven't been any further attempts which is progress, but the constant monitoring, worrying about mood and diet changes, and the recent introduction of medication has made this a very long and exhausting year. The big test of how much progress we've made over the last few weeks - going back to school. The eldest spawn missed 3 weeks of last term and the kids noticed. However Spawn 1 faced it and made it through the week. Small things for most people, but progress for us. Until next week, MM xx more info

The eldest spawn has been out of hospital for a little over a week, has only had 3 incidents where she's shut down and been unable to communicate, and has connected with her new counsellor. Making Progress

It might not seem like much, but I am making progress with my publication goals for the year. I have commissioned several covers for new releases this year and sent my work to my editor. Sounds simple, right? Well, it would be if I didn't have two other businesses, house renovations, extended family situations, a high schooler with a job, two primary schoolers, and a partridge in a pear tree!
