My F.A.Q. – When Are You Going To Publish Another Book?

My F.A.Q. - When Are You Going To Publish Another Book?

Well, technically I haven't even published one book yet, just a short story in an anthology (which is no longer available). As to when I'll publish something, that all depends on my real life. With 3 kids, 2 businesses, and 1 husband with a permanent disability who's now looking at life-changing (and not in the good way) surgery, I have very little control over what I have to do each day, let alone any long-term planning. I do what I can do when I can manage it, more info

My F.A.Q. – How Much Of You Is In Your Books?

My F.A.Q. - How Much Of You Is In Your Books?

This is a killer question, especially for a writer of romance/erotica/crime books! The simple answer is none of my characters are based on any real person, myself included, and I can categorically deny ever committing a crime or being swept off my feet by anyone other than my husband. ;-) However the inspiration for a plot, scene, or even just a line, often comes from a real experience, usually a fleeting moment or offhand comment that hangs around in my brain until it's needed. And a lot of more info

My F.A.Q. – How Do You Decide On A Title?

My F.A.Q. – How Do You Decide On A Title?

It's been a while since I did an FAQ and I was asked this great question the other day. Titles are something like blurbs for me - a necessary evil. As an author, you want to use your blurb to show your readers a taste of what they can expect, but you don't want to give everything away, and it's the same with a title. It needs to suit the book, draw attention, be meaningful and memorable, and these days, be readable at thumbnail size. For more info

My F.A.Q. – Do You Write More Than One Story At A Time?

My F.A.Q. – Do You Write More Than One Story At A Time?

This is a great question and another one that each author will have a different answer to. In my case, yes I do. Mainly because I have a lot of stories in my head trying to get out, and partly because it helps when I get a bit blocked with one story, I can move ahead with another one. I also write multiple stories in different genres at the same time. I think it helps my short attention span too :-) Until next more info

My F.A.Q. – Do you write more than one story at a time?

My F.A.Q. – Do you write more than one story at a time?

This is an interesting question and one that every author has a different answer to. Many will say they can only write in one universe at a time, or can only write in chronological order, or that they plot everything and follow the plan. I am the complete opposite of that. I always have more than one story, often in the same universe, but usually in a different genre, going at the same time. And I never plot—I'm 100% a panster. Why? The short more info
